The T.A. Pai Management Institute, popularly known as TAPMI is about 6KM's from Udupi.The T.A. Pai Management Institute was established in 1980 and the first batch was inducted in 1984.Now every year 150 students pass out of the institute. TAPMI is rated among the top 15 B–Schools in India and finds its position within the top 50 in Asia.TAPMI was among the first management institutes in the country to receive recognition from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for its management programme.
